Typically you save the juice from a jar of pickles after you eat them. I haven't seen the juice sold separately myself but I'm sure this exists.

Still-living,

However far your intellect exceeds that of your husband's (and i think it does significantly)

I wouldn't say that. I think we have different kinds of intelligence. I have seen jaw-dropping demonstrations of his intellect that made me stop and marvel at him. It's one of my favorite things about him. I wouldn't have reproduced with someone I didn't perceive to be smart[er than me], anyway.

He is seeing an IC. I think they tend to work more on his childhood trauma rather than the infidelity trauma or his day-to-day... I don't think "problems" is the right word. "Troubles?" "Struggles?" The recent shit, to put it ineloquently. I have had to convince myself that I need to let the professional work on what they feel is most important, and to trust them. I'm embarrassed to recall thinking otherwise.

He has been being really nice to me lately. I'm crying thinking about it, because I don't know if I deserve that. I worry that everything's going to fall apart again. I'm trying to get my shit together and take responsibility for ensuring that doesn't happen, because what other option do I have but to try harder? Nothing in my life has ever changed through crying about it.

ETA: yes, the pickle juice we get is just the brine from the pickles. It's what chick-fil-a uses on theirs, as well as a bit of sugar on the breading of their chicken nuggets. It smells like donuts when you fry them up. He makes some fire chicken nuggets, that's for sure.

Ok. I'm trying this tomorrow with the air fryer chicken tender recipe from my yoga friend. I had this awesome Cobb salad with arugula at Sunday brunch in Highlands (or maybe it was Cashiers) a while ago, and we try to recreate it a few times a month. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks GotTheMorbs! You and your husband must be good cooks.
